Due to popular demand, Recycled Fire Brick Blend is back! As part of Kafka Granite’s sustainability initiative, Kafka recycles several landfilled materials or waste products such as porcelain, glass, mirrors, slag, and now–fire brick. These products can be used in place of natural aggregates for a more environmentally-friendly design.
Recycled Fire Brick Blend consists of a beautiful array of warm oranges and golds, due to the various colors of fire brick used by Kohler Corporation in their kilns during the production of porcelain toilets and sinks. Rather than wasting away in a land fill, Kafka collects this material and carefully crushes it to size for use in standard, stabilized, and wax polymer pathway mixes–giving the fire brick a new life.
In the past, Recycled Fire Brick Blend had been so popular that Kafka had depleted Kohler’s land fill– a good problem to have! However, we have now inventoried enough of the product to introduce it back to the marketplace. Want to help us clean up the landfills? Request Recycled Fire Brick Blend for your next pathway project!
